Members of the grant writing committee work with other town departments and committees and town staff to identify and pursue potential federal, state, regional, and local grant funding for projects and activities that would benefit the Plainfield community, town residents and business owners.
Examples of recent projects include construction of our town-owned broadband network; acquisision of FEMA funding to support PVFD equipment purchases; state funding for COVID-19 response; and non-governmental grants to support non partisan outreach to increase voter participation in elections.
Members of the committee serve as unpaid volunteers. If your committee or department learns of funding opportunities and needs assistance with formulating a plan to apply for funds; or if you simply need help with preparation and application for the grant itself please be in touch.
