Members of the Plainfield Volunteer Firefighters' Association Assist Recreation Committee with Brush Clearing Between Public Safety Complex and Ballfield Park.
Led by Ron Weeks and Ed Morann, volunteers cleared the area between the Safety Complex and the Ballfield for the first time in 16 years. Led by Claude cutting down trees, Ron de-stumping, and many pulling brush to a chipper donated by Ron, the group opened up the overgrown area in time for the new backstop to be installed and the start of baseball practice.
Further clearing along the park entrance drive and along the north edge of the ballfield are planned on an upcoming weekend (weather permitting). A special thank you to all the Plainfield volunteer firefighters who created the clearing this morning!
