The Plainfield transfer station and recycling center is under the control of the Board of Health. The town contracts with the Hilltown Resource Management Cooperative for collection and recycling services:

The transfer station (recycling and compactor) is located at the back of the Highway Garage, 184 East Main Street, Plainfield, MA.
Punch card system - Cards can be purchased from the Town Clerk or from the Compactor attendant. If purchased from attendant, you must pay by check. He/she can not accept cash. Current cost is $37.50 per Punch card.
